Our programme of Events for 2008

Horses Impossible at Cressing Temple.

Welcome to our Events Calender for 2008!

This year we have a calendar packed with great events to suit everyone. We have jousting knights, history brought alive with re-enactors from down the ages. Smell the cordite with Sharpe's Rifles and clash swords with the Vikings. Be transported to Tudor times with sound and taste or be enthralled by the Master of the Hospitallers.

Retail therapy is offered by the Antique and Collectors Fair, The Essex Food Show, The Spring Art, Craft & Garden Show and the Essex Art & Design Show.

For keeping the kids busy we have half-term activity days and the very popular Children's Archaeological Dig where an archaeologist will lead them on a 'real' excavation.

For those interested in historic buildings we have a whole series of seminars on maintenance and learning. The Guild of Essex Craftsmen will be building a timber-frame from scratch - no power tools, no pencils!

Hope to see you soon.

For an at-a-glance listing we have condensed the programme onto a Word document for you to print - click here and stick it on the fridge.
