11/12 95th Rifles Regiment of Foot
Take a look into the daily life of this brave regiment as they prepare for battle in the Napoleonic Wars; drill display, black powder firing, authentic cooking and a very grand occasion as the officers and their ladies take tea in the Walled Garden. Sun 10.30am-5pm, Mon 10.30am-4pm

24/25 Antiques and Collectors Fair

1/2 Wedding Fayre

8/9 Templars' Fayre
Cressing's annual Medieval market; 100 merchants from all over Europe selling everything from armour to jewellery; pottery to swords. Lots of medieval entertainment from puppeteers, dancers, singers and even Dylan the bedman! Sat & Sun 10.30am-5pm. Adults: £4, concessions: £3.

26 Conservation for Professionals

29/30/31 Mind, Body and Soul Weekend

A one day conference looking at the history of the manufacture and the use of brick in Eastern England. 1 Discover Dowsing
If you've ever wondered how water diviners find water then this is for you! Try your hand at the fascinating art of dowsing under the expert tuition of Barry Hillman-Crouch and Colin Peal. Rods will be available to buy from the gift shop. No need to book. Two sessions: 11am-1pm & 2pm-4pm.

3 Children's Activity Day: The Celts at Cressing

10 Children's Activity Day: Meet the Romans!

17 Children's Activity Day: Viking Visitors

19 Ruin or Rebuild?

29/30 Guild of Essex Craftsmen 5th Annual Fayre
The annual exhibition of members' work on show and for sale. An event for all the family with many demonstrations. 31 Things That Go Bump in the Night!
We can't guarantee our ghost will appear, but kids can have a horrible Hallowe'en with an afternoon of terrifying tales, ghoulish games and creepy crafts. 1pm-4pm.

PRIMROSE THURSDAYS

On Thursdays the over-50s have another good reason to visit Cressing Temple as we introduce our Primrose Menu to the Templars' Tea-room and Restaurant. The Primrose Menu offers the over-50s a wide range of delicious lunches and tempting treats that are all very easy on the pocket.

Cressing Temple is open on Thursdays from May to September (inclusive); the Templars' Tea-room and Restaurant is open from 10.30am - 4.00pm. And don't forget that you can use the Templars' Tea-room and Restaurant without paying the admission fee - so even if you are just passing, why not treat yourself? We're sure you deserve it!
