The Templar's Tearoom at Cressing Temple 2008

Welcome to the Templar's Tearoom. Situated in the modern visitor centre our newly equipped large kitchen is pleased to serve you snacks, lunches, teas, icecreams and home made cakes. To help you plan your visit we present our menu for 2008 below.

OPENING TIMES: ~ The season starts from Easter 21st March through to the end of October and we look forward to seeing you.

Sunday: 11.00 am til 4.30 pm
Monday to Friday: 11.00 am til 4.00 pm.
Food available between 12.00 noon & 3.00 pm.

TEMPLAR'S TEAROOM MENU

SEASONAL SPECIALS ~ (A variety of dishes some traditional and some modern)
Available dishes are individually priced and usually marked up on the blackboard in the Tearoom.

JACKET POTATOES ~ (All served with a salad garnish & coleslaw).
Plain with butter £3.60. Choice of extra fillings from list charged per portion at £0.50. Baked Beans, Cheese, Tuna, Ham, Prawn or a combination of any.

HOMEMADE SANDWICHES ~ (On white or wholemeal bread with a salad garnish)
Egg Mayo, Tuna Mayo, Prawn Mayo, Ham or Cheese £2.95.
A combination of fillings charged per portion at £0.50 Sandwiches can be toasted for an additional charge of £0.50 Your choice of mustard, pickle or salad filling at no extra cost.

TOAST ~ (On white or wholemeal bread ) 2 Rounds with butter £0.95.With jam £1.20.

BAGUETTES ~ (A white baguette with a salad garnish) Egg Mayo, Tuna Mayo, Prawn Mayo, Ham or Cheese. £3.75 With a combination of more than one filling charged per portion at £0.50.

HOME MADE CAKES & BISCUITS ~ A selection of home made cakes & biscuits available from £0.95 (During busy periods, some cakes may be ready made). Please note that some cakes may contain nuts.

TOASTED TEACAKE ~ 1 Teacake with butter £1.20.

SCONES ~ Scone with butter £1.40. Scone with butter & jam £1.60.
Scones with butter, jam and cream £2.20.

CREAM TEAS ~ Pot of Tea, Scone with butter, Jam and Cream £3.25.

HOT DRINKS ~ Pot of Tea for one £1.10.
Pot of Herbal or Fruit tea £1.20.
Cup of Coffee £1.20
Cappuccino, Latte, Espresso £1.30
Hot Chocolate £1.20.

CHILDREN'S MENU

LUNCHBOXES ~ 1 Roll with Ham or Cheese filling, 1 Soft Drink, 1 Packet of Crisps, 1 Piece of Fruit, 1 Biscuit or Cereal Bar £4.25. Please note that contents are subject to availability.

Baked beans on 2 rounds of toast £2.50 (with cheese £3.00).

PLEASE NOTE ~ All dishes are freshly prepared and therefore subject to availability. During busy periods we may ask you to wait some minutes whilst your meal is being prepared. Please be aware that nuts are used in the kitchen. Baby bottles and food can be warmed upon request. Please be aware that they may scald so please check first before feeding.

In warm weather we have an outside eating area where you can enjoy your meal and watch the ducks at play on the mediaeval moat. See you soon.
