Wanted! Summer Volunteers at Cressing Temple 2008

We are looking for volunteers to help run our summer holiday activities here at Cressing Temple.

Our programme starts on Mon 28th July and finishes on 27th August.

On Mondays and Tuesdays we run very popular Children's Archaeological Digs, led by an experienced archaeologist.

On Wednesdays we hold themed Tudor and Medieval Activity days: where children can meet the re-enactors and have a go at hands-on activities such as dyeing, weaving, making masks and shields.

Children's Archaeological Dig - learn about the archaeology of Cressing Temple.
Time volunteer needed:10.30am-4.00pm
(2 sessions, one at 11am and one at 1.30pm)

*Please note that your help lifting buckets and shovelling sand would be appreciated. Please let me know if you would not be able to do this.

Medieval and Tudor Activity days - dress up and live in days of yore.
Time volunteer needed:10.30am to 3.30pm.

Weds 13th August - Medieval - Domestic Life
Weds 20th August - Tudor - Domestic Life
Weds 27th August - Medieval - Knights & Chivalry
