YOUR WEDDING AT CRESSING TEMPLE FAQ's.

One of Cressing Temples brides.

The Venue

Set in rolling countryside, the two spectacular thirteenth century barns at Cressing Temple are available for civil wedding ceremonies.

Most couples choose to use the Wheat Barn for the ceremony and the Barley Barn for their reception. However, you may hire either the Wheat Barn or the Barley Barn for a ceremony.

Barley Barn at Cressing Temple
The Barley Barn built c.1206AD is the oldest timber-framed barn in the world.

The Wheat Barn accommodates up to 120 guests. A huge viewing platform makes an excellent vantage point for group photographs.

The Barley Barn is the larger of the two barns. It is capable of accommodating more than 250 guests.

The beautiful Tudor Walled Garden can be used as a stunning backdrop for photographs, especially the arbour and viewing terrace. It is an ideal setting for drinks, canapés and music.

Cressing Temple Farmhouse.
The Farmhouse was first built around 1620AD.

Members of the bridal party may take advantage of exclusive use of the panelled Oak Room in the 17th century Farmhouse to prepare for the ceremony. It can also be used as an additional space for storing wedding presents.

We can organise bar facilities for you.
